Allergan

Allergan provides Botox, Juvederm, Vivite and Latisse.

Botox Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles to temporarily relax the muscle so that you cannot make a frown. It softens facial wrinkles in the brow, forehead, “crow’s feet”, neck, and lips. It also is used to treat excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) from underarms.

Juvederm XC helps replace the hyaluronic acid your skin has lost. It adds volume to smooth away facial wrinkles and replace volume deficits in the face, lips and hands.

Latisse is the first and only FDA approved prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker. Eyelash hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.

Vivite is an advanced skin care routine that combines a glycolic compound with natural antioxidants that deeply penetrates the skin to maximize results. This fusion of a glycolic compound with natural antioxidants helps promote the production of hyaluronic acid, collagen,and epidermal growth, all of which are essential to the integrity and health of the skin.

Medicis

Dysport is used to treat moderate to severe frown lines. Frown lines are “dynamic”- they happen because of the way a person’s face moves. Because frown lines are created by facial movements, such as frowning or squinting, they may develop even in younger adults.

Restylane restores volume and fullness to the skin to instantly smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. It is made of a clear gel formation of hyaluronic acid, formulated to act like your body’s own hyaluronic acid and helps provide fullness and elasticity. The primary areas injected are laugh lines, marionette lines, lipstick lines and the corners of the mouth.

Perlane is appropriate for wrinkles that benefit from a deeper injection into the skin.

Ortho Dermatologics (Renova)

Renova (Tretinoin cream 0.02%) is specifically designed to deliver the proven efficacy of a retinoid (Vitamin A) with less irritation. It is specifically designed to treat fine facial lines. It is light, moisturizing and gentle enough for daily use.

Sanofi Aventis (®Sculptra)

®Sculptra is injected into the skin for restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss. ®Sculptra is a synthetic material known as “poly-l-lactic acid. This material is biocompatible (a material that does not harm the body) and biodegradable (able to be broken down by the body). ®Sculptra provides a gradual increase in skin thickness.

Melanoma International Foundation

HISTORY & MISSION

Established in 2003, the Melanoma International Foundation (MIF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to provide the guidance and support the founder could not find when she was diagnosed with melanoma. MIF serves the community at large, nationally and internationally as a valuable resource. MIF also has a special focus on navigating patients to clinical trials where we hope a viable treatment will be found with proper accrual to test out new therapies. Without patient participation, research will not move forward. MIF was instrumental in procuring the first Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Funding for research in 2010. MIF's outreach and intended audience is directed to melanoma patients, and their loved ones. MIF also collaborates with cancer related organizations, community hospitals and other allied professionals in the medical field.
